LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SUPPORT
FOR FAMILY MEMBERS
With my support, no matter where you and your
family member are at, you are not alone.
The majority of my years as a professional has included working with children and adults who experience difficulty with verbal communication and expression. Over the last five years, I have also been caring for my father who is losing
his ability to communicate clearly due to Alzheimer's.
Pulling from these experiences, my support offers insight, information and ideas that help guide you in taking actionable steps that stimulate and enhance
your family member's langauge and communication skills.
Not sure if this could help you?
During sessions, we explore practical ideas and strategies to encourage your family member’s language and communication in real time, which is especially helpful if you:
-
have noticed that your family member has a unique way of communicating, that only you seem to understand
-
have celebrated your family member's second birthday, and they are only saying a few verbal words
-
are waiting for a diagnosis for your family member
-
recently received a diagnosis for a your family member and are waiting for public services
-
are receiving public (or other) services, but feel that it is not meeting you and your family member's needs
-
are looking for a fresh approach after years of supporting your now-adult family member who has a disability
-
are supporting a family member who has Alzheimer's, and need some ideas for how to communicate with them.
Do you still have questions, or you are ready to work with me?
