CLINICIANS AND PROFESSIONALS

My various services meet your needs by providing targeted, practical support

and solutions for the everyday reality of servicing and supporting someone else.

Whether you are a new or experienced educator, Special Care Counsellor, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Speech Language Pathologist, Physiotherapist or hold any other title, you may face difficulties in relation to communicating with non functionally speaking or non speaking individuals, challenging behaviour, understanding autistic thinking or other complex manifestations of various disabilities. Perhaps you are meeting obstacles in applying your methods within your current context and reality or meeting success for the person/people that you are supporting.

No matter the age of the person/people that you are servicing, nor whether they have a diagnosis or not, my services can provide you with specific insight into your personal situation, such as:

  • exactly how to do what you need to do

  • clarifying neurodiverse needs

  • how to approach crisis situations and difficult behaviour

  • understanding neurodiverse perceptions

  • realistically applying techniques and strategies in the everyday routines

  • seeking new information and ideas for your toolbox

  • what can be done to help beyond what is already being done

  • researching services, programs, policies, laws, resources etc.

  • promoting and/or maintaining independence

  • and more……

If you are looking for help with something that is not listed here, don't hesitate to contact me to find out if I can help.

Professional Services

SERVICES

I work directly with you to understand your methods, to hear your priorities and to determine your needs. Together, we reflect on your goals and your approach, determine where you are meeting success and

where you are meeting challenges in adapting and applying your professional skills while

working towards finding creative solutions that are realistic for integrating, communicating,

and meeting diverse or challenging needs more effectively, within your personal context.

I always strive to respect personal limitations, values and beliefs, and understand and acknowledge

who you and the person/people you support are, in order to provide more effective

existing interventions with fewer challenges for everyone involved.

Given that my services are needs based and solution oriented, a specifically tailored package

will be proposed to you, based on a completed needs assessment.

You can find more information below, or you can book a free thirty minute phone or virtual call to discuss your situation and get a personalized recommendation about which service would best meet your needs.

"Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the ‘here and now’ rather than on the distant past or future.

While there are many different models of coaching, here we are not considering the ‘coach as expert’ but, instead, the coach as a facilitator of learning.

There is a huge difference between teaching someone and helping them to learn. In coaching, fundamentally, the coach is helping the individual to improve their own performance: in other words, helping them to learn.

Good coaches believe that the individual always has the answer to their own problems but understands that they may need help to find the answer."
