Personal coaching for autistic
teens and adults

EN-Personal coaching.jpg

"Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the ‘here and now’ rather than on the distant past or future.

While there are many different models of coaching, here we are not considering the ‘coach as expert’ but, instead, the coach as a facilitator of learning.

There is a huge difference between teaching someone and helping them to learn. In coaching, fundamentally, the coach is helping the individual to improve their own performance: in other words, helping them to learn.

Good coaches believe that the individual always has the answer to their own problems but understands that they may need help to find the answer."

                                                                                Definition from: www.skillsyouneed.com/learn/coaching.html

My personal coaching service specifically for autistic teens and adults meets your needs by providing targeted, practical support and solutions for identifying, understanding and addressing your own needs with confidence, ease and effectiveness.

Whether because of your unique autistic perspective of the World or your individual abilities and desires, it can sometimes be overwhelming to:

  • clearly understand your individual internal autistic perspective,

  • identify your personal strengths and the areas that you require support,

  • break down needs into goals,

  • decide how to target and work on a specific area or goal,

  • address difficult situations and behaviour patterns,

  • discover what services are available to help you in each area, and

  • ensure self advocacy.

My approach is intended to be different.

It is designed to help untangle complex situations by finding the root of any issue or need, and then addresses it through tips, techniques and resources that will help produce action for real change.

It considers the basic humanity, dignity and individuality of each person. It aims to effectively build understanding as well as skills for working toward personal goals and empowers individuals to
actively take responsibility for their own lives.
