PERSONAL CONSULTATIONS FOR PARENTS
I can’t promise you exactly what working with me
will look like, but I can promise that
you won't be alone.
A personal consultation is a space to slow things down and talk through
what’s been weighing on your mind and your heart —
without pressure, expectations, or the need to have everything figured out.
Not sure what we coud talk about?
During this conversation, we may explore what’s currently challenging, clarify your child’s needs, and begin to make sense of where you are right now. The goal isn’t to solve everything in one call (although we might find some good ideas to try out!) but to help you feel more grounded and more confident about next steps.
Here are a few examples of topics that often come up with the people I work with:
-
your child's unique learning and development, and how you can support them
-
things that you find challenging in your day to day, and how you might change it up
-
realistic, step-by-step approaches that you feel confident using on your own to address whatever circumstances you're facing, including difficult and/or aggressive behavior
-
applying professional recommendations, such as Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy strategies, into your reality
-
information about autism, neurodiversity, disability, or other diagnoses, and how they may or may not apply to your situation
-
navigating the different public and private support systems (ie. CLSC, schools etc.)
-
working with the other people who are involved with your child's care and education.
